Dear Stock-Trak Professor:

Welcome to the brand new StockTrak.com!

You may not immediately notice that our webpage has changed, but we have completely upgraded the Stock-Trak site that you have been using for over 15 years.

This new version represents a major improvement over our previous platform. It will allow you much more administrative control and visibility into your students’ trading session, and it will offer your students a more realistic and streaming educational experience.

Here are some of the exciting enhancements you will find with this new version:

PROFESSOR ADMINISTRATION: Each professor will set up a username and profile that will allow the professor to:
- Establish their StockTrak.com profile of name, address, phone and email so they can keep us updated of changes and so they don’t have to re-enter the same info each time they register
- Manage multiple classes from one log-in session,
- Review current and historical class rankings,
- Review individual student transactions and performance
- Change class trading parameters on the fly
EASIER STUDENT REGISTRATION—NO MORE ACCOUNT NUMBERS: Students will no longer register using an account number like “H12345” but will register using a Class Code such as “GaTech-Fin401-Fall09.” Upon setting up a class, professors will receive a link that has this Class Code embedded so they can merely email the link to their students to register.
IMPROVED SIMULATION PLATOFORM:
- Real-Time Bid/Ask trade execution for all US equities and options
- Streaming Profit/Loss Statements for student accounts
- Streaming Class Rankings instead of end-of-day updates
- Our Sharpe-Ratio calculation has been updated to use a geometric mean instead of an arithmetic mean
- Engineered for high performance. Using the latest .net coding, SQL database and a Thomson-Reuters data feed, the new version will be much more reliable and accurate
